Good. Most of my best clients are. Awkward in front of a camera usually means you're a real person who doesn't spend their weekends being photographed, which is exactly who I know how to work with.

I'll direct you through the stiff part and back off the moment it stops being necessary. You won't have to carry it for long.

I work photojournalistically, which means I follow the day rather than direct it. That said — if there are specific moments, people, or combinations that matter to you, tell me before the day and I'll make sure they happen. The list just doesn't run the session. You do.

Define catastrophically. Flowers late, officiant later, timeline completely collapsed, weather entirely different than planned — I've been through all of it and none of it has produced a bad gallery.

I build contingency into the plan before the day starts so that when something shifts, I'm already moving. You won't hear about most of it until the wedding is over.

Case in point: I once reattached the head of a bride’s wedding cake figurine when I saw it rolling across the reception floor moments before guests walked in.
